IPPC - IED Directive
The Industrial Emissions Directive 2010/75/EU (IED Directive), which was implemented by Legislative Decree No. 46 of 4 March 2014, aims to continue the process of reducing emissions from industrial installations, and is a rehash of 7 directives, including the IPPC (Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control) Directive and some sectoral directives, such as the one on large combustion plants, waste incineration, and activities using organic solvents.
The Directive provides for the extension of the IPPC legislation to other types of industrial activities, in particular for the energy, mineral products, chemical industry and waste management sectors.
