IPPC - IED Directive

Directive 2010/75/EU on industrial emissions (IED Directive), which was implemented by It. Legislative Decree March 4, 2014, no. 46, has the purpose of continuing the process to reduce the emissions of industrial installations, and represents a merger of 7 directives, including the IPPC Directive (Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control) and some sector directives, such as that on large combustion plants, waste incineration, activities that use organic solvents.

The Directive entails the extension of the IPPC regulation also to other types of industrial activities, in particular in the sector of energy production, mineral products, chemical industry and waste management.
