IPPC - IED Directive

Directive 2010/75/EU on industrial emissions (IED Directive), which was implemented by way of Legislative Decree no. 46 of 4 March 2014, aims to continue the process of reducing emissions from industrial facilities, and is a rehash of 7 directives, including the IPPC (Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control) Directive and some sector directives, such as the one on large combustion plants, on waste incineration and on activities using organic solvents.

The Directive provides for the extension of the IPPC legislation to other types of industrial activities, in particular the energy, mineral product, chemical industry and waste management sectors.
