CLP

Starting in 2009, the CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) Regulation introduced a new classification, labelling and packaging system for hazardous substances and mixtures, with a view to repealing, as of 1 June 2015, the previous Directives 67/548/EEC (Dangerous Substances Directive) and 1999/45/EC (Dangerous Preparations Directive).

The CLP was created with the aim of harmonising the criteria for the classification of substances and mixtures and to establish the rules for their correct classification, labelling and packaging in order to ensure a high level of protection of human health and the environment, ensuring for workers and consumers the recognition of risks related to the use of chemicals.
