REACH Registration

The European Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 concerning the "REACH", Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical just begun to implement last June 2007. For that reason all the companies are responsible for collecting data and information on the properties and uses of the chemicals substances they manufacture or import above one tonne a year. They also have to assess the hazards and potential risks presented by the substance.

This information is communicated to ECHA (European Chemical Agency) through a registration dossier containing the hazard information.

REACH Registration is based on "one substance, one registration" principle: manufacturers and importers of the same substance have to submit their registration jointly. The analytical and spectral information provided should be consistent and sufficient to confirm the substance identity.
